Okay, I finally managed to put together a short video on the Women’s Fiction Festival in Matera, Italy that I’ve been talking about for the last month or so. Check it out. Does it make you want to attend next year??
I hope so — it was a BLAST! Delicious food, wonderful attendees, and great networking with agents and editors. You might have recognized some of them on video, i.e., Kate Burke (Penguin UK), Deb Werksmann (Source Books), Alesssandra Bazardi (Harlequin Mondadori), Elizabeth Pomada and Michael Larsen (Michael Larsen-Elizabeth Pomada Literary Agents) and Christine Witthohn (Book Cents Literary Agency).
So … NOW, do you want to attend??

Wow Italy I’ve always wanted to go to Italy

I wish I could figure out a way to tie in a trip to Italy with work and count it as a writeoff against taxes. Writers have all the fun!

I’m not an author but I want to go!!!

Yikes! I didn’t get notices that folks had been by to comment, so I’m sorry for the lack of response!
Saskia, thank you!
Danny, the conference is unique in that they do not have conferences of this sort in Italy, so it’s a big deal for the attendees there.
Beth, this was my 3rd time to Italy. About 3 years ago, I did a solo 26-cities-in-3-weeks vacation there. Loved it! You should definitely go if you have the chance.
Sue, that’s simple. Just start writing! (LOL) On the other hand, I’m not sure we have all the fun. When I’m pulling overnighters and crying when I’m a week away from my due date, it’s not fun. Can I give you that part?
Stephanie, you can still come. And maybe you’ll want to if Liz incorporates Ali’s Italian hunk idea.

Judy, yes, I think you’d love it.
Judy and Annalisa, the food is wonderful — better than the best Italian restaurant here. It’s all so fresh!
Tracy, alas, I have no hot men stories. Oh, wait a minute … I said in a previous post that I was going to make some up, didn’t I? (LOL)
