She is the author of The Kadin, Skye O’Malley, A Dangerous Love, and the fantasy series, "The World of Hetar", among others. She has recently ventured into erotic contemporary, with Forbidden Pleasures, Private Pleasures, and Sudden Pleasures.

Bertrice Small has topped numerous bestsellers lists, including the New York Times, USAToday, Publishers Weekly, and LATimes and been the recipient of many prestigious awards, such as "Best Historical Romance," "Outstanding Historical Romance Series," "Career Achievement for Historical Fantasy, " and several Reviewers Choice awards from Romantic Times Magazine. In 2004, Bertrice Small was awarded a "Lifetime Achievement Award" by Romantic Times Magazine for her contributions to the Historical Romance genre.
