Photo of John LescroartCrime thriller writer John Lescroart is a mega-bestselling author. His 12th bestseller, BETRAYAL, which was released in February 2008, debuted at #8 on the New York Times list and #1 in the San Francisco Chronicle. His books have been translated into 16 languages in more than 75 countries.

Throughout his “twenty years to overnight success,” he’s held a myriad of jobs, including painter, bartender, word processor, Advertising Director of Guitar Player Magazine, legal secretary, and computer programmer.

He started off in music, before discovering writing. And since music is still a big part of his life, he formed his own record label, CrowArt Records, five years ago.

Under this label, he’s recorded his own music - for country western lovers, there’s Whiskey and Roses while those who like Cajun, Carib, Reggae, Jazz, Dixieland, or World will love As the Crow Flies. Additionally, he’s produced the work of others, including Heath Walton (Contemporary Jazz) and Joe Craven (Multi-Instrumentalist).

Says San Francisco Magazine, “Who needs John Grisham when we have homegrown John Lescroart?”
